Dennis L. Prickett, PT
Dennis is the operator of Atrium Physical Therapy in Las Cruces. He owns Atrium Physical Therapy with his wife, Elaine.
Dennis received his Physical Therapy training at the University of New Mexico. With a previous degree in Education, Dennis combines his training to educate clients in the causes, available treatments, and potential long-term implications of their diagnosis while using the best available treatment techniques to eliminate pain and restore function.

Dennis has a broad base of experience which he brings to this office. His experience includes working in Pediatrics, Acute Care, Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation, Long Term Care, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. In addition to operating his private practice for the last 17 years, he has served as department head in Home Health and Skilled Nursing / LTC facility rehab departments.
Dennis has served as speaking faculty for continuing education programs for Physical Therapists on establishing functional maintenance programs. He has a special interest in rapid pain relief/pain management techniques.
Mary Ann Allred, MPT
Mary Ann is originally from NM. She moved to the Midwest, attended KU for undergrad and KUMED for her MPT in May of 2001. Mary Ann is a devoted Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU fan. Mary Ann moved back to NM and has called Las Cruces home since 2006. Mary Ann has experience with orthopedic clients and has worked in rehab settings for a number of years. Mary Ann has also worked in pediatrics. Mary Ann joined the Atrium Family in 2015 and has brought with her experience, techniques that have given patients relief from pain. Mary Ann enjoys gaining new knowledge to help our patients.
Tara Stadjuhar, PTA
Tara was born and raised in Las Cruces. Tara received her Bachelor’s in Community Health from NMSU in 2007. She decided Physical Therapy was the career she wanted to pursue and graduated from Western Technical College and received her PTA license in 2017. In her spare time Tara enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and doing Crossfit.
Anthony Apodaca, PTA
Tony has lived in Las Cruces 30+ years. Tony received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at NMSU. Although he has a deep interest in research, it was important for him to work more directly with the community. It was not until his grandfather was seriously injured, and told there was little chance he would be able to walk again, did Tony consider a career in physical therapy. His grandfather received physical therapy and had a second chance to walk again. After seeing how PT could make such a tremendous impact in someone’s life, he made the decision to make his next goal obtaining a license as a PTA. Tony enjoys spending time with his family, participating in 5k runs and hiking with his fiancé and son. Tony joined the Atrium family in 2017.
Edna Torres - Client Service Representative
Edna was raised in a small town (which is now a city by the way) of Anthony, NM. “I love Anthony and the great sunsets I get to see every day!” She received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Spanish with a Minor in Counseling and Educational Psychology from New Mexico State University. She would love to become a Court Interpreter some day and provide language interpretation for those who do not speak English. She recently became engaged to her other half of 4 years. She has 2 sisters, a niece and a nephew. “I love to dance, sing, and spend time with my loved ones. I love the family atmosphere we have here at Atrium. We all help each other and help all of our patients reach their goal in achieving a pain-free lifestyle!”
Philip Montoya - Office Assistant
Philip was born in 1964, but if you ask how old he is he will tell you 14. He resets to 14 every year on Valentines day. He grew up in Encino NM and lived there until he moved to Las Cruces in 2005. He started working at Atrium shortly after he moved. He lives with his sister and brother-in-law, Atrium owners Elaine and Dennis Prickett, and mom. Philip loves going to work everyday where he can help his fellow co-workers. It is not unusual to see Philip dancing with patients and staff. He knows how to cut a rug! He loves to dust and shred paper and gets upset if he does not get to go to work. Philip has introduced his own language into Atrium that are referred to as Philip-isms, many of which you may hear if you listen closely to our staff as they interact with each other. His favorite past times are singing at church, eating out, watching “I Love Lucy” DVDs and playing hide and seek.
Anna Marie Robles - Client Service Representative
Anna Marie was born and raised in Las Cruces NM, and has lived in Hawaii, North Carolina, and Texas. She has been married for 7 years and has one handsome son and two beautiful step daughters, along with four terrific grandkids. She was previously in banking for 15 years and decided to retire, and pursue a new adventure in the medical field. She loves to travel and spend time together with her family and my dogs. “I am so happy and very excited to be a part of the Atrium PT family, and the staff and patients are so wonderful to work with. I love how our core values are so important, and how we strive each day to give all our patients the very best experience. I look forward to many years working with Atrium PT and the great staff and patients.”
Hector Hernandez, PTA
Hector was born and raised in the Las Cruces, NM area. His passion for physical therapy and rehab came about during his military service in the US Navy. As a medic in the US Navy, he had the opportunity to specialize in the physical therapy field where he treated Active Duty Service members and retirees from every branch including their dependents. Hector received his PTA degree from Lake Superior College in Duluth, MN through a PTA Military Bridge Program in 2016, while he was stationed in Rota, Spain. Hector joined the Atrium Family in June 2018. Hector enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and staying fit to be able to continue to help the community through rehab.
Matthew Sullivan, PT, DPT
Matthew grew up and spent a large part of his life in the Midwest but is a recent transplant to the southwest in the Las Cruces region. He attended Kansas State University and received both Bachelor and Master’s of Science degrees in Kinesiology in 2013 with a focus on the study of the physiological adaptations to exercise and wellness behaviors. He then moved to Colorado and attended Regis University where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016 receiving an award for clinical excellence during his final internship. Following his passion for excellence and continued learning he completed a nationally recognized orthopedic residency program in 2017 and in 2018 became Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and continues to be involved as a mentor to orthopedic residents around the country through Evidence In Motion, a continuing education platform for rehabilitation professionals.
His passion is connecting with people and helping teach how to improve all aspects of life through the power of movement and exercise. Matthew has extensive knowledge with orthopedics, chronic pain, post operative rehabilitation and sport/wellness exercise performance and has experience with national and international leaders in the field of physical therapy. He moved to New Mexico with his wife in 2018 and is excited to join the Atrium Family and the community of Las Cruces. Matthew is very active and has a passion for the outdoors and fitness, in his free time you will find him walking his dogs with his wife, lifting weights in the gym or running/hiking the trails.
Felicity Aguirre, PT, DPT
Felicity was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM and completed her Bachelors degree in Biology from New Mexico State University followed by receipt of her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. While she may seem confused about being an Aggie or a Miner, she says she will always be an Aggie at heart. Guns up! Las Cruces is home and she is happy to be able to stay in Las Cruces as a therapist. “Coming to work at Atrium Physical Therapy was as if I found a hidden gem in Las Cruces. The environment not only makes our patients feel welcome and like family, but the camaraderie between the staff at Atrium make my day that much better. Everyone is like family which helps make every day enjoyable.” In her spare time she enjoys photography, watching football and having family time to play games or just hang out. She is excited to continue to learn, grow, and give back to the community of Las Cruces.
Felicia Chaves, PT, DPT
Felicia was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish, and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New Mexico. She also cheered on the all girl cheerleading squad for the Lobos, which is actually where she got the passion to become a physical therapist. Go Lobos! She resided in Albuquerque, NM where she started her career in physical therapy focusing on outpatient orthopedics and specializing in pelvic health. Recently she moved to Las Cruces in October 2018 for a better opportunity for her family. “It has been such an honor to be able to bring my pelvic health speciality to Atrium and be able to provide treatment for an underserved population of patients. ” On her spare time she likes to spend time with her husband and daughter, hiking, work out, and reading. “The people in Las Cruces have been so kind and welcoming to my family and I. They have made me truly feel at home.”
